ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Edgar D Jackson is an author based in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was growing up in England, however, where his love for writing first blossomed.

As a teenager and into his twenties, Jackson became a writer for numerous culture magazines in the UK and the US.

While reviews and interviews became his forte, fiction was always at the forefront of his mind. Specifically, supernatural fiction — based on his love of early Stephen King novels and those fuzzy, eerie sci-fi shows of the early 90s.

It was when studying English with Creative Writing at Falmouth University that he attempted his first novel.

After three years, two editors, one typesetter, and a VERY patient cover designer, Seeing Dead was born in August 2024. Often described as a ‘Scottish Stranger Things’, this book is a unique take on the Scottish ghost story, full of twists, turns, emotions, and horrors that will keep you up at night.

It found its way into many readers’ hands through the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where Jackson took custody of a red telephone box on the Royal Mile, meeting with readers face to face. The novel also found a home in numerous bookstores, including Topping & Company, Typewronger Books, and Transreal Fiction.

Under a year later, Jackson was back with his second novel: ‘The Secret Cuckoo Cabaret Club’. Revolving around identity and the LGBTQ+ experience, this novel twists the horror genre in a way that hasn’t been done before, blurring the lines between the monsters of the supernatural and the monsters in us all.

His most recent book, ‘The Book Of The Summer: Season One’, is the first part of a three-part coming-of-age series, and is his most autobiographical book yet.

All three books are available as signed and personalised editions from the online store, each accompanied by a free bookmark designed to match the story.
